Maryland Parkway not quite ready for pedestrian influx from UNLV on-campus housing

2 min read

There is transformation underway at UNLV.

"The U just got built. There’s another one over there. There’s at the other end of Maryland Parkway," pointed out one student. On-campus housing like the new ‘Degree Building’ at Maryland and Cottage Grove parkways which opened in the fall is already drawing students who wish to live and work near campus grounds.

"You may be surprised but students like to roll out of bed and get to class as quickly, so there are some benefits, practical and economic," said David Fromer, UNLV’s Associate Vice President of Planning, Construction and Real Estate.
